Not even Warren Buffett, one of the world’s most successful investors, was immune in 2022 to whipsawing markets.

His conglomerate, Berkshire Hathaway, reported on Feb. 25 that it lost $22.8 billion last year. 

However, the 92-year-old billionaire urged shareholders to focus on the long term and the underlying health of his empire. He also urged Americans not to be convulsed by "self-criticism and self-doubt".
