In months June and July, you meet two sounds which are little unusual for English speakers. First, the sound /njə/ which is something like the sound in the middle of the word onion, and which is written 'gn'. Repeat the words after the speaker:

giugno   bagno   agnello

And now the sound similar to the /jə/ in million which is written 'gl'.
