小雅·谷风之什·北山

陟彼北山，言采其杞。偕偕士子，朝夕从事。王事靡盬，忧我父母。
溥天之下，莫非王土;率土之滨，莫非王臣。大夫不均，我从事独贤。
四牡彭彭，王事傍傍。嘉我未老，鲜我方将。旅力方刚，经营四方。
或燕燕居息，或尽瘁事国;或息偃在床，或不已于行。
或不知叫号，或惨惨劬劳;或栖迟偃仰，或王事鞅掌。
或湛乐饮酒，或惨惨畏咎;或出入风议，或靡事不为。

Injustice*
To gather medlars long,
I go up northern height.
Being an officer strong,
I'm busy day and night
For the royal affairs.
Who for my parents cares?
The land under the sky
Is all the king's domain;
The people far and nigh
Are under royal reign.
But ministers unfair
Load me with heavy care.
Four steeds run without rest
For state affairs all day long.
They say I'm at my best
And few like me are strong.
I have a robust chest
And may go east and west.

Some enjoy rest and ease;
Others worn out for the state.
Some march on without cease;
Others lie in bed early and late.

Some know not people's pain;
Others toil for state affairs.
Some long in bed remain;
Others laden with great cares.

Some drink all the day long;
Others worry for woe.
Some only say all's wrong;
To hard work others go.
