Lao Rongzhi, who has been in the spotlight for her involvement in multiple killings, denied the allegation of intentional homicide when Jiangxi Provincial High People's Court heard her appeal case on August 18th. Lao was convicted of intentional killing, robbery and kidnapping and was given the death penalty by the Nanchang Intermediate People's Court in Jiangxi last September. The court said at the time  Lao picked targets at entertainment venues and her ex-boyfriend Fa Ziying attacked them, causing seven deaths from 1996 to 1999.
