I think it’s very important that we learn from our ancestors for the following reasons. First, we need to learn from them so we don’t make the same mistakes. For one thing, we can never truly get how horrible people suffered in the two World Wars if my generation didn’t learn about it in history class. Lessons like this have to be learned so they serve as a reminder of how irrational human beings can be. Learning from our ancestors is important on a personal level as well. I find it fascinating to listen to my grandpa telling his stories. It helps me to better understand who I am and lots of the decisions that I make in life.
