More than eight million households will start to receive the first of two payments totalling £650 from Thursday.


Soaring energy bills - coupled with rising prices in supermarkets and shops - continue to put pressure on people, with figures showing more and more people are buying less food to get by.

You probably don’t realise what British people are suffering at the moment. Soaring energy bills and the rising cost of living are driving them to the wall. It continues to put pressure on people.


Some of them feel like the whole world is falling apart. More than eight million households will receive the first of two payments from the government. That’s £650(six hundred and fifty pounds) in total. Figures show more and more people are buying less food to get by.
