【10月19日】“I'm coming”到底是来了还是在路上？

I teach many English classes and during my classes sometimes I hear students make small mistakes and I realized many people probably make the same mistakes, so let me help fix a mistake I commonly hear. When students log in to my class online every day sometimes they say hi Daniel I’m coming! This is not correct. This is not the right time to use this phrase. The phrase we should be using is I’m here or I have arrived. We use the phrase I’m coming when we are on our way or have not yet arrived or will be to our destination shortly. Let me show you how it works. 

我教了很多英语班，在班里有时候我听到学生犯一些小错误，并且我注意到很多人会犯相同的错误。所以在这儿我想帮大家纠正一个常见错误。每天当我的学生上线后他们有时候会说：“嗨大牛，我来啦！”这是不对的。用在这里不合适。我们应该用“I'm here" 或者 "I have arrived." 当我们在路上，还没到，或者很快到目的地时可以用“I'm coming."我们看一下怎么用吧。

Example 1

Girl: I am at the restaurant now,where are you? 

Boy: I’m coming, please be patient! I’m on my way.( I have not yet arrived.) 

G：我到饭店了，你哪呢？

B：我很快就来，请耐心一点，我正在路上呢。

Example 2

Boy: I’m at the party, when will you get here? 

Girl: I’m here!  I’m wearing a green dress, Do you see me? 

B：我到派对了，你什么时候到？

G：我就在这啊！我穿绿色的裙子，看见了没？

So once again when we have recently arrived and we want to announce it we say I’m here! But when we are on our way and have not yet arrived we want to say I’m coming or I’m on my way! 

所以我们再来一遍，如果我我们想要宣布自己刚到就可以说I’m here! 如果还没到就说I’m coming 或者 “I'm on my way!
