Hong Kong's landmark Jumbo Floating Restaurant capsized in the South China Sea after it encountered adverse weather conditions, 7 days after it was towed away from harbor for maintenance. According to its owner, the water depth where it capsized exceeded 1,000 metres, which made salvage works extremely difficult. Before it left the SAR, a lot of residents came to photograph the 46-year-old restaurant that could seat 2,300 diners. Many movie scenes were filmed at the popular restaurant including Hong Kong movies like Jackie Chan's "The Protector", plus "The God of Cookery" and "Infernal Affairs 2".
