I think it’s OK for students to disagree with their instructors for the following reasons. First, teachers are human, and humans make mistakes. It’s perfectly fine for students to point out a teacher’s mistakes as long as they are respectful. It could be something small like a typo or a misspelling. Secondly, some of my teachers actually encourage students to challenge them during class by disagreeing and raising questions. I must say I concentrate better during their classes which yield better learning results, because I always keep myself alert. In the end, I have more respect for them because they give students the freedom to think and speak up.
