Immediately, Raya could see the gleam of the blue-green shard.

拉雅立刻看到了闪着蓝绿色光芒的碎片。

Without taking her eyes from Raya, Namaari placed the Gem piece on a rock between them and backed away.

纳马丽没有把视线从拉雅身上移开。她把宝石碎片放在她们之间的一块石头上就退回了。

At that moment, Sisu emerged from the woods, her eyes on Namaari.

就在那时，希苏从树林里冒了出来，双眼看着纳马丽。

Namaari gasped and quickly bowed to her, then stood, looking a little shy.

纳马丽惊讶得屏住了呼吸，她迅速朝希苏鞠了一躬，随后站在那里，似乎有些害羞。

“The final piece!” Sisu said to Raya.

“最后一块碎片!”希苏对拉雅说。

“Time to bring everyone back,” Raya said, and smiled.

“是时候让大家都复活了。”拉雅笑着说。

Then she started to open her satchel, where the rest of the Gem shards sat, but she stopped when she heard a threatening click. She looked up, and her heart seemed to stop.

随后她打开背包，那里藏着其他的宝石碎片。但她突然停住了，因为她听到了一声带有危险的咔嗒声。她抬头一看，心跳似乎停止了。

Namaari held a raised crossbow. Her finger was on the trigger. Raya frowned and slowly put her hands up.

纳马丽举着一把张开的弩，手指搭在扳机上。拉雅皱了皱眉头，缓缓举起双手。

“Sisu and the Gem pieces are coming with me,” Namaari said.

“希苏和宝石碎片得跟我走。”纳马丽说。

Behind them, the bushes rustled. Tong emerged from the forest. Boun, Noi, and the Ongis were right behind him.

她们身后的树丛动了。老藤从树林里走了出来，身后跟着阿波、小糯和猴子天团。

“Sisu!” Boun yelled.

“希苏!”阿波喊道。

“Stay back!” Namaari warned.

“退后!”纳马丽警告他们。

Tong bared his teeth. “It was foolish to trust someone from Fang.”

老藤咬牙切齿地说:“相信龙牙谷的人真是愚蠢。”

“Don’t come any closer!” Namaari warned again.

“别再过来了!”纳马丽再次发出警告。

Raya pleaded. “Namaari, it doesn’t have to be like this.”

拉雅恳求道:“纳马丽，我们没必要这样。”

Tears glittered in Namaari’s eyes. But she didn’t lower the weapon. “I don’t have any other choice.”

纳马丽的眼里闪着泪花，但她没有放下武器。“我没有别的选择。”

Raya’s hand went to her sword.

拉雅的手伸向她的剑。

“Hey. I got this,” Sisu said softly. Raya paused, then slowly took her hand off her sword.

“嘿，交给我来处理吧。”希苏轻声说。拉雅停住了，随后缓缓把手从剑上拿开。

Sisu, starting to glow, took a few steps toward Namaari. Namaari now pointed her crossbow at Sisu.

希苏开始发光，她朝纳马丽走了几步。此时纳马丽将举着的弩对准了希苏。

But Sisu kept moving forward. “I know you don’t want to hurt anybody.”

但希苏继续朝前走去。“我知道你不想伤害任何人。”

“What are you doing?” Namaari asked.

“你在干什么?”纳马丽问。

“You just want a better world. Like we all do.”

“你和我们一样，只是想要一个更好的世界。”

Namaari hesitated. She lowered her crossbow an inch. “Sisu . . .”

纳马丽犹豫了，她把弩放低了一点点。“希苏……”

“I trust you, Namaari.”

“我相信你，纳马丽。”

But Raya still wasn’t so sure. She kept her eye on Namaari’s trigger finger.

但拉雅可没那么肯定。她的眼睛紧盯着纳马丽扣在扳机上的手指。

Suddenly, it seemed to move. Raya didn’t waste a moment. She pulled out her sword and rushed at Namaari. But as she struck the crossbow, the trigger released.

突然，它似乎动了。拉雅一刻也没耽搁，她抽出剑冲向纳马丽。但她击中弩时，对方松动了扳机。

With a sound as quiet as the breeze, the arrow flew through the air and sank into Sisu’s heart. 

For one long, terrible moment, the world seemed to hold its breath.

一阵微风般静默的声响，箭从空中飞过射中了希苏的心脏。在那漫长而可怕的一瞬，世界似乎静止了。

Raya, Namaari, and the others watched, frozen in horror, as Sisu tipped backward and plunged into the canal.

拉雅、纳马丽和其他人惊恐地呆住了，他们注视着希苏向后倒去，一头扎进运河里。

“No!” Raya screamed.

“不!”拉雅尖叫道。

Namaari threw down her crossbow, grabbed her Gem piece, and took off.

纳马丽扔下她的弩，抓起她的宝石碎片，跑开了。

Raya ran toward the water. “Sisu!” She could see the faint outline of Sisu below the surface. “No…”

拉雅跑向水边。“希苏!”她能看到水下希苏模糊的轮廓，“不……”

Tong, Boun, Tuk Tuk, Noi, and the Ongis all came to her side, but she hardly noticed. She was overcome with rage.

老藤、阿波、突突、小糯和猴子天团来到她身边，但她几乎没注意到他们来了。她已经怒不可遏了。

Abruptly, the water in the canal began to roil and sink, as if it was rapidly draining away.

运河里的水突然开始翻滚下降，就像在迅速干涸一般。

“What’s happening?” Boun cried. His eyes were wide with fear.

“这是怎么了?”阿波大喊。他双眼大睁，满是恐惧。

“I don’t know. It appears that with the last dragon gone, so too goes the water,” Tong replied. “Now there is nothing to stop the Druun. Nothing.”

“我不知道。似乎随着最后一条龙的消失，河水也干涸了。” 老藤回答，“现在没有什么能阻止黑魔了。已经无计可施了。”

Across the newly empty riverbed, clouds of Druun emerged to overtake the city of Fang.

刚刚干涸的河床上，大群黑魔涌起，占领了龙牙谷。

“Raya — ” Boun said, then broke off. He looked around. “Where’s Raya?”

“拉雅—”阿波说着停了下来，环顾四周，“拉雅去哪儿了?”

On the ground lay the sheath of Raya’s sword and the satchel holding three Gem pieces. Raya was gone.

地上摆着拉雅的剑鞘和收着三块宝石碎片的背包。拉雅不见了。
