By the time the Snowbird summit took place, some of these practices had evolved into fully formed methodologies with names like Scrum, Extreme Programming, and Crystal. But those gathered at Snowbird were not interested in debating which of their methodologies was the best. Instead, they wanted to see if 17 self-described "organizational anarchists" could identify the common themes, values, and principles underlying their respective practices, frameworks, and methodologies. By all accounts, nobody thought this would be an easy task.
