【10】The phoenix tree 1: Alexander6——The trip to Longleat Safari Park (下）

Chapter 8 the trip to Longleat Safari Park
“Children, tomorrow is the twentieth of November, we are going to have an outing to Longleat Safari Park. Prepare some food and for the picnic. Bring a plastic bag even if you didn’t have carsickness before.”
Out of door, “I am not late for school, right?” Alexander with his backpack on his back was standing out beside the door. He walked to his seat, sit down and put off his backpack.
Mr Zhang who was standing on the platform was angry. He hit the table on the platform with his left hand heavily and a chalk head draw an arc in the sky to Alexander’s head with a “bong” before it  was broken into countless powders like a firework after it left the box which they should be in and has been threw out.
“How dare you say you aren’t late for school? It’s the 58th time you late for school. It’s now a quarter past nine. You have late for 25 minutes. Don’t be late next late next time, or you won’t be able to get on the bus. I won’t wait for you tomorrow.”
The next day, he was the first student who arrived at school. The security staff were all wiping their eyes and muttering suspiciously to themselves. Oscar was the second student who arrived at school. But when he saw Alexander eating leaves in the his classroom while he was going to walk into his classroom, he looked at his watch------it was eight o’clock. He was astonished that Alexander could be here so early, and was just thinking that the watch  might be broken and had just thought of buying one or repairing his own when he spotted the clock on the wall behind the last row of desks and chairs which was also pointing towards eight o’clock.
In Oscar’s classroom, Oscar was reading a picture book about Longleat Safari Park. He had lent it from his classmate Kate. 
But in Alexander’s classroom, Alexandre was eating his lunch happily. “Phoenix leaves, oak leaves, maple leaves, Banana leaf, ginkgo leaf, Lilac, Elm leaf, Sakura Oshima……”
Ten minutes later, his teacher came into the classroom. Forty minutes later, all the st
udents arrived school. To every student in grade one and above’s surprise, Alexander didn’t arrive late for school.
“Did you all bring food?”
“Of course.” said all the student except Alexander.
“Alexander, have you brought your lunch?”
“I have.”
“Are you sure?”
“I’m sure.”
“So where is your lunch?”
“Here.” Alexander pointed to his empty red lunch box.
“Where is your food?”
“In my tummy, to prevent thieves stealing it.”
Another ten minutes later, “Time to go! Don’t forget to take all your thing, especially your lunch and the plastic bag.”
“I forgot to bring my plastic bag!” shouted Alexander.
“Here is it.” His deskmate handed a plastic bag to him.
“What a bad plastic bag, it must have been used by you before!” Alexander pointed to the new plastic bag Frane had given him.
In the same time in Oscar’s classroom, “Time to go!” said the teacher in charge of Oscar’s class Mrs Hony.
“We----all students from Grade4 Class3 must be quiet during the visit! If anybody says a word in the visit without my permission, he or she would be ask to copy the whole Chinese book! Chinese books from Grade 3 to Grade 4! Go, time to go to the playground!”
“OK!” said all the students.
In Alexander’s classroom. “Time to go!” said Mr. Zhang with a loud voice.
“OK!” Not half of the students answered.
On the bus, the guide was talking about the Longleat Safari Park.
“Do anybody know where are we going to visit?” asked the guide.
“Longleat Safari Park!” said a few of the students.
“It’s the most famous wildlife Park in England. The park is the first wildlife park built in England and also the first wildlife park in the world except Africa! It was officially opened to the public in 1990. The characteristic scenic spot of Longleat wildlife park can divided into three parts Safari Drive Through, Main Square and longleat manor courtyard. It will spend us 50 minutes to get there. If anybody have question about the park, you can ask me. I’m your guide, you can call me Dick. That’s my name.” said the guide enthusiastically
“Dick, can you tell us where is the park?” asked Carl.
“It’s in Bath, very close to Sweden, where you live.” Answered Dick simply.
“Are there giraffes?” asked Neal.
“Of course.”
40 minutes later, “We have arrived!”
The students who were sitting on the right hand side all saw a big wooden sigh with big words------“welcome to Longleat Safari Park” through the window.
They went to guest services in the main square by bus.
“Everyone, follow the cashier getting on to the yellow cage bus. Here is £260, We need to go on the bus.” The guide put the money in the cashier and went with the cashier onto the cage bus.
“This is the Safari Drive Through. Here, you can see all kinks of African animals in the wild. Giraffes, zebras and elephant, clever and big monkey families, docile and friendly dear herds. If we are lucky enough , we can also see the flying figures of cheetahs.
Alexander take out his lunch box, he get a phoenix leaf from it and put it in his mouth. 
A wind blew to a lion which is lying on the grass under a tree. It turned his head. He was looking at the bus which Alexander was sitting on with a leaf with mud on it in his mouth. Alexander and his classmate cheered
“So hand some!”
“I want to have a touch of his golden skin!”
Suddenly a rabbit ran by, it’s long ears flapping behind it, and pursuing closely behind the rabbit, it’s sharp white fangs bared and ready to strike the moment it got the chance, was a flash of golden lightning------a leopard!
Chapter 9 The accident
Soon, cage bus left the Safari Drive Through.
They found the bus they went here and got on the bus, but just as the bus was about to pass through the gate, the security room exploded.
Golden flame soon spread. The driver of Alexander's bus tried to stop, but it seemed that the braking system was out of control. When the bus passes through the opened gate door and knocks the gate door, the right headlamp of the bus is damaged. At a turn, the bus still didn't stop, but became more wild and unstable. There was a monkey farm ahead. The bus suddenly tilted, turned over and stopped.
“What happened?” Frane said she was very worried and confused. “How is everyone?”
“Everyone, The cage bus exploded from inside.” The tremendous shock wave had damaged the long transshape wire.
Alexander is very lucky that he sits at the left and was next to the wire of the cage bus.
“Everybody get off, hurry up!” said Dick. The students who did not faint left the cage bus with big and fast steps, muttering to each other except Alexander. He walked slowly with small steps.
When Frane came back, the fire was spreading. Before Alexander and Frane could leave the scene, the fire circled in the middle. Frane used his last strength to lift Alexander into the air and threw him out of the fire. Alexander's leg landed fortunately. Three students were killed in the accident, but no one knows whether there are more accidents waiting for them. Three seconds later, Frane and two other students were burned to ashes. A roadside restaurant exploded. Thick smoke rose into the sky. The students saw more and more explosions in other places, hundreds of donkeys running towards them, so the students ran in all directions. Alexander went north. He walked by tourists and students running around slowly just like nothing had happened. He saw a tourist's money bag jump out of his pocket but the tourists were still running instead of going back to get his money bag maybe because he didn't notice that his money bag jumped out of his pocket. He picked up the money bag but didn't return it to him. He is very happy. But soon the fire spread to him so he ran away from the fire place. As the wind blew stronger, the fire spread faster. A restaurant exploded as soon as fire engines and ambulances arrived at the scene. Alexander was still walking north until a sheep knocked him down and make his left leg broken. An ambulances came only about 3 minutes after.
Two doctors opened the back door of the ambulance with a stretcher and put the stretcher on the ground. They put Alexander on the stretcher, then returned to the ambulance before the back door of the ambulance was closed and left Alexander and the stretcher on the ground.
"Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! All the tourists and students, I made many bombs and I ordered my people to put them in the park. But who told me to do these things? Alexander, the thief! He made my son expelled! The gate will be closed until Alexander dies!" A male voice appeared in the announcement. Oscar ran by Alexander. When he heard the news, he ran to Alexander, Lyle followed him.
"He's Alexander. Kill him, or we'll all die! But suddenly, a rescue helicopter flew by and took Alexander and a tourist away. One another helicopter came," if you take me, I'll give you $200! " Said a tourist named Wheneat. "2000 dollars!" Another tourist said. "Five thousand!" "Ten thousand!" Oscar said. His parents are dead, but they are all rich. So the money and place were given to his uncle.
"Twenty thousand!" Oscar added.
"Is there anyone else?"
"Thirty thousand!" Another tourist said.
"Thirty-one thousand one hundred and eleven." Oscar said.
"Continue." Oscar were saved. Oscar was scared. He took out the phone.
Soon, the helicopter landed at the airport. Lyle ran out of the helicopter. Ten minutes later, Oscar was watching TV at the airport. The men in the helicopter followed them.
"According to the investigation, the head of Bai Long is a pupil named Whene. The police are still researching."
"Whene, I heard he was expelled for stealing NC stickers from his classmate." Lyle said.
"Me too. I know! The thief is Alexander!" said Oscar excitedly, "his father, Wheneat!  I've seen Whene's father before. I think... Do you remember the tourist who said $200 to the rescue workers on the government helicopter?" Oscar suddenly stopped. He didn't believe his guess. He thinks his conjecture is wrong. He went home as Lyle and the people on the helicopter.
"This afternoon, 172 explosions occurred in the main square of Longleat wildlife park. The accident killed about 13000 people and injured about 5000 people. Only 22 of them were rescued by the government helicopter and 62 went out of the park by a hole on a wall at the back yard. The government is too responsible to the people! Once there was a fire in China. Six people were in the accident and five were rescued by the Chinese government. Which is better, Britain or China? Which place do you want to live?”
“Unfortunately, a primary school was having a spring outing and they went to the park. Everyone was missing or dead. The surveillance also captured a moving scene. Two students were surrounded by a fire. One student raised the other student and threw it out...”
This is a program called “Daily News”. Oscar’s uncle paid the people on the helicopter. They left Oscar's house impolitely. 
“Dong! Dong! Dong!” Someone knocked at the door. Oscar opened the door. 
Their friends Kate and Dan are standing there. Behind them stood Oscar's brother Fred and Dan’s little sister Lori. When Oscar saw Kate and Dan, his fear eased, but then his eyes turned black. “How did you get back?” Oscar asked, “The gate was closed when all the buses entered the park.”
“We didn't pass the gate. We stayed under a white tree on the grass behind the cage bus service.” Dan's sister stopped us and asked us to stay with him instead of going to the main square.” said Dan. 
“And they agreed!” said Lori.
They looked at the sunset and gradually understood that sentence.
