Shanghai super-markets and online fresh food vendors are rushing to guarantee vegetable and meat supplies. Demand is rising as more residential complexes are being locked down. Once again, Zhang Shixuan has more.

At around 8 in the morning, employees were already busy at a CR Vanguard supermarket in Qibao Town, Minhang District. They said they were usually on the job until 10:30pm. To ensure vegetable supplies, Qibao introduced an online mini program last Saturday in cooperation with the supermarket. More than 5,100 orders were placed in just three days.

Pork processing plants in Shanghai are also making every effort to ensure supplies. Managers said people can buy fresh pork, beef, poultry, eggs and some vegetables through its mini program【微信小程序】.

One of the black boxes from crashed China Eastern Airlines flight MU-5735 has been retrieved, but authorities said they hadn't determined whether it was the flight data recorder, or cock-pit voice recorder【话音记录器】. Lei Shuran has more.

中国东方航空公司MU-5735航班坠毁的一个黑匣子已被找到。但调查组表示，还未确定这个记录器是飞行数据记录器，还是话音记录器。更多内容，请听记者雷舒然的报道。

An aviation official said the retrieved black box might help explain why the aircraft plummeted【垂直落下】into a mountainous area. The search for the plane's other black box continued today.

一位民航局官员表示，找回的黑匣子对于分析飞机为何会坠入山区，有着非常重要的作用。今天将会继续寻找飞机的另一个黑匣子。

“The weather was fine during the flight, and the aviation administration received no report of inclement weather. In terms of communication, the administration did not receive any warning or message of danger until the plane had disappeared from radar.” 飞机的航路上天气情况正常，而且空管部门也没有接到有任何危险天气的报告。关于通信情况，机组突然下降之后，空管单位没有接到机组发出的遇险，或者不正常的信息，直至飞机消失在空管的雷达显示器上。

Authorities also said the aircraft had passed maintenance checks and that the crew members were in good health with sufficient flight experience. No survivors have been found and authorities do not know why the plane crashed.

调查组还表示，飞机已通过维修检查，机组人员健康状况良好，且都有丰富的飞行经验。目前没有发现幸存者，同时也飞机坠毁的原因尚不明确。

Guangzhou Baiyun International airport set up a temporary area for relatives of the passengers who were aboard flight MU5735. China Eastern Airlines had contacted them within 24 hours of the plane going down.

广州白云国际机场为MU5735航班上的乘客亲属设立了一个临时区域。中国东方航空公司在飞机坠毁后的24小时内与他们取得了联系。

3.S. KOREA REPORTS MORE THAN 490,000 COVID-19 CASES

The World Health Organization reported more than 470 million coronavirus cases confirmed globally so far, with nearly 6.1 million deaths since 2020. 1.24 million new cases were reported in the past 24 hours. South Korea today reported the country's accumulated cases had topped 10 million. Lei Shuran has more.

South Korea's total coronavirus infections exceeded 10 million, or nearly 20 percent of its population, as the country has been battling a record wave driven by the highly infectious Omicron variant【变体】. The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency reported more than 490,000 cases yesterday, its second highest daily tally after logging 621,000 on March 16th.

The test was part of preparations for US president Joe Biden's upcoming trip to Europe for a NATO summit【北约峰会】. Psaki stated that she would no longer be going. She was also infected with the coronavirus last October.
