There is a big apple tree in the woods,

Little bird flew by, plunked an apple fromthe tree.

There is a little mouse under the apple tree:I wish I had wings to fly with.

Little Monkey came by and plunked an applefrom the tree.

Little mouse thought: I wish I could climba tree.

Little Elephant came by and plunked anapple from the tree.

Little mouse thought: I wish I had a longnose.

Little Giraffe came by and plunked an applefrom the tree.

Little mouse thought: I wish I had a longneck.

Mr. Kangaroo came by and plunked an applefrom the tree.

Little mouse thought: I wish I could jumpthat high.

Little Rhino came by and shook an apple outof the tree.

Little mouse thought: I wish I could shakethe tree.

A Sea Lion came:” What’s the matter withyou, Little mouse?”

Little Mouse answered with a whole lot ofquestions:” Little Sea Lion, can you fly? Can you climb a tree? Is your noselong? Can you jump up high? Can you shake a tree?

Little Sea Lion answered:” I can’t do anyof those things, but there is one thing I’m really good at.”

Little Sea Lion puts Little mouse on hisnose, then, little mouse fly to the tree.

And he got to enjoy a big apple with hisnew friend.
