408 – 跨年一起学唱 “友谊地久天长Auld Lang Syne”

Auld Lang Syne is a Scottish song and so the lyricsare in the Scots language. What does Auld Lang Syne mean?  It would translate into standard English as"old long ago" or more colloquially "the good old days". Thelyrics are about old friends having a drink and recalling adventures they hadlong ago. The Canadian-born bandleader Guy Lombardo helped make “Auld LangSyne” a New Year’s Eve tradition in North America. His band, the RoyalCanadians, played the song at the turn of the new year in a series of popularradio (and later television) broadcasts that began on December 31, 1929, andcontinued for more than 30 years.
