The frogs begging for a king
Once upon a time, a crowd of frogs lived happily in a pond.
One day, the frogs discussed about their living. They agreed to find a king to rule them. So they prayed to the God,“Please, please, my dear God, please send a king to rule us.”
The God sent a huge log which came down to the pond. Bang! These frogs were deeply frightened. They plunged into the depth of the pond. The frogs thought that the king was very powerful.
When their fear went away, the frogs jumped up. Some of them squatted on the log, some swam cheerfully in the water. After a while, the frogs began to disappoint that the log was emotionless and did nothing.
They asked the God for a new king,“Please, please, please send us a greater king!”
The God was very angry. He sent a big stork to them.
“Oh wow! Our new king is really majestic. He was be a great leader!” the frogs said admiringly.
But the bad thing suddenly happened! The stork started grabbing these frogs. The frogs were frightened. They hurriedly escaped but could not.
Day by day, the stork preyed upon the frogs. Finally there was no frog left in the pond.
