【特别放送】英文执行主编Doug Young临别访谈：我在中国30年

Welcome to a very special edition. Today we are doing things a bit differently. After nearly five years at Caixin Global, last week we said farewell and good luck to our managing editor, Doug Young. But before his departure, we decided to put Doug in the hot seat at least one last time and question him on his experiences and insights that he’s gained not only working at Caixin Global but indeed throughout his entire career in the media.

And before we dive into the interview, here’s some quick background. Doug Young has spent nearly 3 decades working as a journalist. He’s originally from the U.S. but spent a great portion of his life in China. Now apart from being our boss at Caixin Global, Doug has also worked as a reporter for Reuters, taught financial journalism in the prestigious Fudan university in Shanghai and he’s also written a book on media in China. But, get this, he actually started out as a geology student.
