中国空间站航天员首次出舱

Chinese astronauts have completed extravehicular activities and returned to the space station core module Tianhe, according to the China Manned Space Agency on Sunday. The first EVAs during the construction of the country's space station were a complete success, the CMSA declared. The Shenzhou-12 spaceship crew, after approximately 7 hours of extravehicular activities, have completed all scheduled tasks, and astronauts Liu Boming and Tang Hongbo returned to the space station core module at 2:57 pm (Beijing Time), according to the CMSA. Astronaut Nie Haisheng has been staying inside Tianhe in cooperation with Liu and Tang for their EVAs. 
据中国载人航天工程办公室7月4日消息，7月4日14时57分，经过约7小时的出舱活动，神舟十二号航天员圆满完成出舱活动期间全部既定任务，航天员刘伯明、汤洪波安全返回天和核心舱，标志着我国空间站阶段航天员首次出舱活动取得圆满成功。期间，在舱内的航天员聂海胜配合支持两名出舱航天员开展舱外操作。

This was the second time Chinese astronauts have performed EVAs after the Shenzhou-7 mission in 2008. The scheduled tasks of the EVAs, including equipment installation and panoramic camera lifting, were accomplished with close coordination between space and the ground, as well as between the astronauts inside and outside the spacecraft. The three astronauts on board the Shenzhou-12 spaceship were sent into space and entered Tianhe on June 17, and have since carried out a number of tasks as planned. Currently, they are in good health and will perform EVAs for a second time during their stay in orbit, the CMSA said.
这是继2008年神舟七号载人飞行任务后，中国航天员再次实施的空间出舱活动。此次出舱活动，天地间大力协同、舱内外密切配合，圆满完成了舱外活动相关设备组装、全景相机抬升等任务。神舟十二号航天员乘组自6月17日进驻天和核心舱以来，按计划开展了各项工作，目前3名航天员状态良好，后续在轨飞行期间还将进行一次出舱活动。

China to improve weak links in compulsory education

China has rolled out new measures to shore up weak links in its compulsory education, according to an official document. Efforts need to be made to improve education infrastructure in rural areas, per the guideline released by the Ministry of Education and other departments. This includes the construction of classrooms, dormitories and dining halls, installing basic amenities such as showers and drinking water, introducing clean energy heating systems, and the renovation of sanitation facilities, according to the guideline. The infrastructure of boarding schools also needs to be improved, focusing on those catering to students and left-behind children in outlying areas. 
教育部等部门近日发布《关于深入推进义务教育薄弱环节改善与能力提升工作的意见》。意见提出，要持续改善农村基本办学条件。加强农村学校教室、宿舍、食堂等设施建设，配齐洗浴、饮水等学生生活必需的设施设备，推动清洁取暖进校园和卫生厕所改造。同时，改善学校寄宿条件，重点满足偏远地区学生和留守儿童的寄宿需求。

The document also highlighted efforts to increase school capacity in urban areas and improve dynamic demographic surveillance of school-age populations to scientifically map out schools. It also called for the prevention of new oversized classes and encouraged the spread of a nine-year school system, meaning educational integration of elementary and middle schools.

Didi removed from app stores
国家网信办:下架滴滴出行App

Didi, a popular ride-hailing app, was removed from app stores after the Cyberspace Administration of China verified a report about its illegal collection and use of personal information on Sunday. In a statement issued on Sunday night, the administration said the app, owned by ride-hailing giant Didi Global, seriously violated laws and regulations and the decision to remove the app was made in accordance with the Cybersecurity Law. Didi should rectify its problems in relation to laws and national standards to protect the safety of its users' information, the administration said. 
国家互联网信息办公室7月4日晚发布声明称，根据举报，经检测核实，滴滴出行科技有限公司旗下打车软件"滴滴出行"App存在严重违法违规收集使用个人信息问题。国家互联网信息办公室依据《中华人民共和国网络安全法》相关规定，通知应用商店下架"滴滴出行"App，要求滴滴出行科技有限公司严格按照法律要求，参照国家有关标准，认真整改存在的问题，切实保障广大用户个人信息安全。

In a response posted on its Weibo account on Sunday, Didi said it would rectify the problems and continuously raise its awareness of risk prevention. It added it would improve its technical ability to protect its users' personal information and data, protect users from internet safety risks and continuously provide safe and convenient service. Didi suspended registration by new users starting Saturday. Those who had already downloaded the app can still use it normally, meaning previous users - both passengers and drivers - are not affected.
同日，滴滴出行在其官方微博回应称，将认真整改，不断提升风险防范意识和技术能力，持续保护用户隐私和数据安全，防范网络安全风险，持续为用户提供安全便捷的服务。滴滴已于7月3日暂停新用户注册，已下载滴滴App的用户可正常使用，乘客的出行和司机师傅的接单不受影响。

Domestic historical drama "1921" remained atop China's box office chart on Saturday, data from the China Movie Data Information Network showed on Sunday. "1921" ended its third day of screenings with daily earnings of 50.4 million yuan, accounting for 46 percent of China's total box office revenue for the day. The film tells stories surrounding the founding of the Communist Party of China in the year 1921.

Another revolution-themed drama "The Pioneer" garnered 21.5 million yuan, ranking second on the daily chart. The movie revolves around the revolutionary deeds of the Party's pioneer Li Dazhao. Coming in third was US animated comedy "Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway," which earned over 7.5 million yuan on Saturday.
