【茶学英语】第十一课之普洱茶唛号（1）

1976年，为出口需要，云南省茶叶公司规范普洱茶唛号。饼茶用4位数表示，前两位为该款茶的发明（或者是开始采用）工艺年份，第3位数字为毛茶原料的等级（从0-9，表示原料茶菁的老嫩等级，0最嫩，9最老），第4位数字为茶厂编号[2]（1为昆明茶厂，2为勐海茶厂，3为下关茶厂，4为普洱茶厂）。

However, there are countless of tea companies have sprung up[3] in lately years, instead of following the above rules[4], they have their own regulations[5], those number can have different meanings as well. It may represent the tea species, or batch NO. or star level within their tea factories. Or they do not use any number at all!
