This year’s National Day and the Mid-Autumn festival fall on the same day — October 1. To celebrate the two festivals, my whole family gathered together. Before my mom and grandma cooked the meal, I helped them to wash the vegetables. Then we watched the movie The Founding of a Republic(《建国大业》). I liked it very much. It taught me a lot about China’s history.
I learned that it was hard to save a country from war. The CPC(中国共产党) leaders at that time made great efforts(努力) to found a new China. They saw people as masters of the country.
This year‘s National Day is the 71st birthday of the People’s Republic of China. Our country has become stronger. As students, we shouldn’t take this for granted. It’s our job to study hard. In the future, we will help to make our country even stronger.
