Endless Fun at Gravity Falls 第2678期（“专栏小作家” 第2期 我最喜欢的二次元作品）
Summer break is a time for fun activities. But you may wonder what the twins, Dipper and Mabel Pines, are doing in a golf cart while they are trying to escape from a frightening creature.
This is a scene(场景) from Gravity Falls, a cartoon series made by Disney. It is mainly about the story of Dipper and Mabel after they are sent to a town named Gravity Falls to spend their summer vacation with their great-uncle Stanley.
Soon after their arrival, something strange happens. In the deep forest, Dipper finds Journal No.3, a book that records mysterious creatures and supernatural(超自然的) phenomena(现象). With the guide in the journal, the twins meet many unusual creatures. Bill Cipher, for example, is a yellow triangle monster. He wants to take control of the world, while Dipper and Mabel are trying their best to prevent him.
The thing that impresses me the most about the cartoon is the family affection(关爱) between the Pines. Stanley tries his best to save his brother Stanford. Similarly, Dipper and Mabel never give up on each other even when they’re about to be killed by Bill. Stanley and Stanford never run away, leaving the twins behind, no matter how dangerous the situation becomes. In the end, Stanley even chooses to sacrifice(牺牲) his own memory in order to defeat(击败) Bill. I am deeply touched by these scenes.
Gravity Falls is such an exciting cartoon that I have watched it three times already. And every time I re-watched an episode(集), I could find new surprises and have a different understanding of the story. I like Gravity Falls very much and I’d like to recommend it to all of you.
