Is there life on Mars? People have thought about this question for hundreds of years.
China is working hard to find out if there is life on Mars. Other countries have also been sending robot spacecraft to the red planet. We have learned that Mars is more like Earth than the other planets in the solar system(太阳系). So, it is a good place to look for life. But so far, we have not found any signs of life on Mars.
There may not be life on Mars now. But it would still be exciting to know if there used to be life there. NASA(美国国家航空航天局) will be looking for tiny fossils(化石) on the planet’s surface. They might show that there used to be life on Mars.
No humans have ever tried to go to Mars. In the future, you might be able to watch — or even be one of — the people who make the first trip to Mars!
