When we were five, they asked us what we wanted to be when we grew up. Our answers were things like astronaut, president or in my case, a princess.
当我们五岁时，大人问我们长大后想干什么，大部分人的回答是：宇航员、总统之类的，或者像我这样的回答：一个公主。

When we were ten, they asked again, we answered: rock star, cowboy, or in my case, the gold medalist.
当我们十岁时，大人们又问一遍，我们的回答是：摇滚巨星、牛仔，或者像我一样：赢得金牌。

But now that we've grown up, they want a serious answer. Well, how about this? Who the hell knows?
但现在我们长大了，大人们想要一个认真的答案。好吧，那这个回答怎么样：鬼才知道！

This isn't the time to make hard and fast decisions, this is the time to make mistakes.
现在不是作出艰难而仓促决定的时候，现在是犯错的时候。

Take the wrong train and get stuck somewhere. Fall in love, a lot.
登上错误的列车，困在某处；一次又一次地坠入爱河。

Major in Philosophy because there is no way to make a career out of that. 
去学哲学吧，因为学哲学绝对没前途！

Change mind and change again, because nothing is permanent.
改变决定，再一次反悔，因为没有什么是永恒不变的。

So make as many mistakes as you can. That way, someday, when they ask what we want to be, we won't have to guess, we'll know.
所以尽可能去多犯些错误吧，以后有一天当大人们再问及我们想干什么时，我们不需要再去猜测，因为答案已经了然于心。
