 1.insist [ɪn’sɪst]
 v. 坚称，坚决认为；坚持主张
 I insist on his innocence.

 2.resist [rɪ’zɪst]
 v. 抵抗，抗拒；忍耐 
 resistance n. 抵抗，阻力 
 I can never resist temptation/chocolate/the urge to laugh.
