You may be puzzled as to why so many asanas are introduced. People's psychology is to "do less" and for this to ''expect more". Remember that if the effort is less then the effect too is less. If the efforts are right then the effects are right. A minimum expectation of practitioners is to derive physical and mental health as well as poise in the body and peace of mind. The number and variety of asanas is chosen on the basis of this minimum expectation, so that day to day stress is removed.
