Conjunctions

Today I learned a few common conjunctions (conectors) by watching a video. This video was made by Jay and his wife.
1. And
We use and to join words or phrases that are related. We use it to add information, and when we’re speaking , we use it to introduce new or extra ideas.
He invited John and Emily to have dinner.
we had dinner last night, and then we watched a movie together.

2. or
we use or to introduce possibilities. Or signals a different option.
You can choose steak or fish.
You can start the job today or tomorrow.

3. but
we use but to contrast ideas. It signals a different information.
You can choose steak or fish. You can also choose both of them, but you can’t waste the food.
You can start the job today or tomorrow, but you must finish it in a week.

4. Because and so
Because answers the question why ,and so tells the result.
We have to work overtime because it’s urgent.
It’s urgent, so we have to work overtime.
