North America
North America is the world's third-largest continent. It is made up of three large countries- Canada, The United States of America, and Mexico- plus the smaller countries of Central America and the Caribbean Islands.

A little bit of history.
Christopher Columbus was the first European explorer to reach the Americas when he landed in the Bahamas in 1492. Though Columbus is credited with having discovered the New World, Norse explorers are thought to have ventured here around 500 years before him.
