[伊索寓言] 狼与羊

The Wolf and the Lamb

While lapping water at the head of a running brook(小溪), a wolf noticed a stray lamb some distance down the stream...he began thinking of a plausible(花言巧语的) excuse for making her his prey.

  "Scoundrel(无赖)!" he cried, running up to her.  "How dare you muddle the water that I am drinking!"

  "Please forgive me," replied the lamb meekly(温顺的)...

A tyrant(暴君) will always find a pretext(措辞) for his tyranny.  So it is useless for the innocent to seek justice through reasoning when the oppressor intends to be unjust.
