[伊索寓言] 狼与鹤

The Wolf and the Crane

A wolf devoured(吞食) his prey (猎物) so ravenously (狼吞虎咽) that a bone got stuck in his throat, and in extreme agony, he ran and howled (狼嚎) throughout the forest, beseeching every animal he met to pull out the bone.  He even offered a generous reward to anyone who succeeded in pulling it out.

Expect no reward when you serve the wicked (邪恶的), and be thankful if you escape injury for your pains.
