No. 168- Are you still a big TV addict

A:Hey, Cathy. Fancy meeting you here.

B:Hi, Amy. What brings you here?                                                                                             A:I’m here on business. And what about you?

B:I got a new job a few weeks ago. My office is right across this street. Let’s get a coffee, shall we?

A:Great. We haven’t met for a long time.

B: Are you still a big TV addict?                                                                                                

A:Well, I used to be. Today, if there’s a really good TV series on I do get a bit addicted to it.

B:We know that people around the world love to watch TV. Watching TV is one of our most popular pastimes.  

A:There’s no doubt about it. Now so much of our life is influenced by what we see on TV.

B:Yeah. The number of channels we can watch has also expanded, especially with the development of digital television.

A:You’re right. We can get TV sets with huge screens and with pictures in high definition and 3-D. And we can even watch TV on our mobile phone.

B:Exactly. It’s no wonder people all over the world spend much of their time watching TV. What’s the latest popular TV series you’re addicted to?

A:An American TV drama “Gotham”[ˈɡɔθəm]. It’s worth watching.
