A Magic Card
Milu sees a card on the ground.
He picks it up, and then laughs.
“Aha! It’s a magic card!” Milu shouts excitedly, and then puts the card in his backpack.
Where do you want to go?
Write it down and the card will take you there.
At home, Milu stands in front of a map of the world.
There are so many countries and so many cities to go to.
He says to himself, “Where should I go?”
“Which place is the best, Dad?”
“Sydney! I went to Sydney many years ago.”
“The Sydney Opera House looks like shells.”
“The sea is so nice. I swam and surfed in it often. I love the water sports there.”
“People there like Australian football, and when I was there I watched an exciting match.”
Milu thinks Sydney is a cool city.
Milu’s sister is in her room making a phone call. He stops in front of her room.
“Last year, When I went to Hong Kong, I had a lot of fun……. I went to Ocean Park, Disneyland……”
Milu want to go to Hong Kong too.
Milu’s neighbor, Mr Webb is a great traveller. He asks him for advice.
“Mr. Webb, do you know which city is the best in the world?”
“Ha ha! Little Milu, I have no idea. Many cities are great.”
Mr. Webb shows Milu his albums.
He points at the wonderful places he has been to and tells Milu many interesting stories.
Tokyo at night is very beautiful. The Hula Dance in Hawaii is so nice.
Oxford is famous for the Oxford University.
It is a dream university for many students all over the world.
“All of them are great.” Milu says. “I will travel around the world when I grow up!”
“Each place has its beauty. My baby likes traveling too.” Mr. Webb kisses his puppy.
“He goes to a lot of nice places too.”
On the way back, Milu sees a little girl crying by the side of the road.
“I want to go home, I want to go home.”
Milu thinks for a while, and then walks to her, “Don’t cry. I can help you go home.”
“Let’s write HOME on this card. It will take you home.”
“It’s magic!”
