The Best Christmas Present

It is Christmas Eve.

Vicky is excited because Santa Claus will come tonight. 

Vicky puts a stocking on her bed, but she does not want to sleep yet. 

Suddenly, she hears a loud sound outside. 

“What’s that? A falling star? or a big bird?”

“I have to go and find out what it is.”

Vicky looks around.

Then she sees something red out there in the forest. 

Vicky runs to it and sees a big red bag. It is open. 

“Oh! It’s Santa Claus’ bag.”

I think he dropped it by accident.

I will deliver  the presents for him. 

Vicky comes to Coco’s house first.

Coco, the little duckling, is her good friend. 

Vicky puts Coco’s present at the door. 

“Merry Christmas, Coco.” she says and leaves. 

Vicky feels so happy at that moment. 

Then Vicky goes on to Tommy’s house.

Tommy is a nice little fox. 

She puts Tommy’s present at the door. 

“Merry Christmas Tommy” she says and leaves. 

Then Vicky goes to Gigi’s house. 

Gigi is a cute squirrel. 

“Merry Christmas Gigi” Vicky puts Gigi’s present on a tree branch and leaves.  

It is getting late. 

Vicky feels cold, but there are still some presents to deliver. 

It begins to snow. 

There is only one present left in the bag, but Vicky is too tired to open it. 

She wants to rest, so she crawls into the bag. 

When Vicky wakes up, she is at home, near the fireplace. 

“Is this a dream? ”

“No, dear. It’s not a dream. we found you in the snow.” mum smiles at Vicky. 

“Everyone got their present. We’re proud of you.” 

“Thank you Vicky. You’re very brave.”

“To have a friend like you is our best Christmas present.”

“This is not a dream!”

Vicky is so happy to see her parents and her friends. 

“Let’s see what Santa Claus has for you Vicky.”

“Wow!It’s beautiful!”  

“I love the doll, but I love you guys more. ”

To be with my family and friends is the best Christmas present for me.
