Chapter7 The Dream

第7章奇怪梦魇

It's the sixth day of the trip. Thegroup is now on the boat that will take them to the last island of their tour,Taransay.

So what do you think of thisexperience? We've been here for nearly a week now.

It's great. I can do what I likedoing best - cycling, I mean - and at the same time I'mhelping people. It's fantastic, isn't it? And I've made a lot of newfriends.

旅行的第六天，他们将乘船前往最后的目的地——塔兰赛岛。

这次旅行感觉如何？咱们已经在这儿将近一周了。

感觉棒极了！我做了我最喜欢做的事——骑自行车！同时，我还帮了别人，真是太棒了——对吧？我还交了好多朋友呢！

I heard you scream last night.

Did I? I had a nightmare.

Oh… What was it about?

I was alone on a sailing boatduring a terrible storm. The sky was full of black clouds and it was very windyand the waves were huge.

Suddenly I fell into the water andI grabbed onto a piece of wood…

我昨晚听到你尖叫了。

是吗？我做了一个噩梦。

喔…… 是什么样的梦啊？

我梦到我独自驾着帆船在暴风雨中的大海上航行。天空乌云密布，海上狂风大作，波涛汹涌……

突然，我掉进了海里——但我抓住了一块板……

… and then I started swimming.I swam and I swam… until I saw some rocks. The sea was still very rough.If I had tried to reach the shore, I would have crashed into the rocks!

I was exhausted and I was about todrown. Suddenly somebody appeared on a rock. It was a strange figure, wearing along robe with a hood. I couldn't say whether it was a man or a woman.

I held out my hands for help. Ifonly that person had in turn held out his or hers, I would have been saved.

But that didn't happen. The figuredid not move a finger… it remained motionless. And I drowned.

后来，我就开始游泳…… 我一直游啊游…… 忽然看到前面出现了一些岩石。海面仍旧卷着惊涛骇浪。我要是想游上岸，肯定会撞在那些岩石上。

我累的再也游不动了，眼看就要被淹死。这时，我看见岩石上站着一个人，我没见过他。他穿着长长的袍子，带风帽的那种，看不出他到底是男的还是女的。

我伸手求救，只要那个人转身伸出他/她的手，我就能得救。

但是他并没有帮忙，只是一动不动地站在那儿…… 我慢慢地淹死了。

Oh, Sam, what an awful dream! I'msure it means something.

Hey, you two stopflirting… it's briefing time! Everybody on the front deck!

In a few minutes we'll be landingon Taransay. It's the remotest of the Outer Hebrides. Once the island waspopulated, but now only a few people live here. We'll be staying there forthree days.

Oh gosh!

What's the matter?

They look like the rocks in mydream.

Come on, Sam, It was only a dream.
