If I were free  

I’m lonely and bored, I’m really sad.

I’m stuck in this cage, and it’s making me mad.

我孤单乏味，糟糕透了，我被困在笼子里要憋疯。

If I were free, I would do as I please.

I wouldn’t stop. I’d climb all the trees.

如能自由，我要放飞自我。我一刻也不停歇，爬遍所有的树。

If I had wings, I would fly high in the sky.

I would fly up to the birds. I’d even say hi.

要是有了翅膀，我就高飞上天，我要飞到鸟的身旁，跟它问好。

If I had fins, I would swim deep in the sea.

I would look for treasure. It would all be for me.

要是有了鱼鳍，我就游入深海，我要寻找宝藏，它们统统归我。

If I had a horse, I would run through the mountains.

I would stop when I was thirsty. I’d drink from the fountains.

要是有了马儿，我就穿山越岭，只有渴了我才停下，泉水为我解渴。

If I had a sailboat, I would sail to strange places.

I would go to small islands. I’d see men with painted faces.

要是有了帆船，我就驶入陌生之地。我要登上那些小岛，看看那些花脸人士。

If I had a race car, I would drive down the street.

I would go really fast. I’d take my friend Pete.

要是有了赛车，我就出去兜风，我开得风驰电掣，还要带上好友彼得。

If I had an airplane, I would fly to a far off land.

I would stop in the desert. I’d build a castle in the sand.

要是有了飞机，我就飞向远方。我要在沙漠停留，建造沙子城堡。

If I had a rocket, I would go very far.

I wouldn’t stop at the moon. I’d visit a star.

要是有了火箭，我就飞得更远。我可不在月亮上停留，我要访问星星。
