Passing by the Northern Mountains

客路青山下 （外）注

My boat goes by green mountains high

行舟绿水前

And passes through the river blue.

潮平两岸阔

The banks seem wide at the full tide;

风正一帆悬

A sail with ease hangs in soft breeze.

海日生残夜

The sun brings light born of last night;

江春入旧年

New spring invades last year that fades.

乡书何处达，

Where can I send word to my friend?

归雁洛阳边

Homing wild geese, fly westward, please!
