《小Q》：那些感动无数人的导盲犬，你了解多少？

最近看了电影《小Q》，改编自真实传记小说《再见了，可鲁》，讲的是盲人李先生和他的导盲犬小Q的故事。

Mr. Li is a pastry chef in Hong Kong. He lost his sight due to eye disease. People around him have always wanted to help him, but he refused their help repeatedly. Later, a guide dog named Little Q came to him, Lee gradually adapted and fell in love with the dog. They rely on each other until Little Q died of disease.

The first modern guide dogs were trained back in the 20s and 30s. The British government sent the first four dogs as a gift for former soldiers who had partial or total vision loss during the war. 

"What I was observing was that she wasn't acting in a negative way, which told me we didn't need to panic to get out of the tower…It was scary, no question it was scary…We had people who were burned, burn victims, pass us on the stairs…There were a couple of times that people started to panic on the stairs and said ‘I can’t go on.’ We would have a group hug and say ‘we’re in this together.’”

“I still believe in dreams. I still think that if we work together, things will turn out all right. I still feel that if we each treat each other with kindness, dignity, and respect, we will live happily ever after. I have hope.”

“I also want people to realize that you have control over fear in your life. You may not have control of what happens to you, but you do have control over how you deal with what happens to you.”
