On Aug 23rd 2018，a UnitedBoeing 789, undertook scheduledflight from San Francisco to Singapore.

This aircraft was climbingout of San Francisco's runway 28-right.When upon contacting departure the crew advised they had about 4 bird strikes on departure. The aircraftcontinued the climb, and was cleared to climb to flight level 340.

However , they stopped theclimb at flight level 300 advising they had a couple of bird strikes ondeparture and were consulting withthe company and wanted to return to San Francisco. The crew advised they wereconcerned about the integrity of the airframe, since the bird strikes occurred whenthe flaps were down.

The aircraft dumped fueland landed safely back on San Francisco's runway 28- left about 80 minutes after departure. The aircraftvacated the runway and stopped for an inspection by emergency vehicles.
