1.*harm [hɑːm]
vt. / n. 伤害，损害 
Thankfully no one was harmed in the accident. 
所幸事故中没人受伤。

harmful adj. 有害的 
Smoking is harmful to your health. 
吸烟有害健康。

2.*ruin ['ruːɪn]
v. 毁灭，毁坏 
n. 废墟，毁坏
That guy isn’t going to ruin my life.

Years of fighting left the city in ruins. 
经年的战事使得该城市满目疮痍。

3.*damage ['dæmɪdʒ]
