常记溪亭日暮，
The dusk at the river arbor I often recall.
 
沉醉不知归路。
Blind-drunk, our way back we remembered not at all!
 
兴尽晚回舟，
Having had much fun, we paddled homebound
 
误入藕花深处。
And strayed into lotus flowers profound.
 
争渡，
Tried to get through,

惊起一滩鸥鹭。
So startled, all egrets from the shoal flew.

"The same crabapple tree," she says, "was seen."
 
知否？

应是绿肥红瘦。
The red should languish and the green must grow."
