French first lady Brigitte Macron is set to return to the classroom in a new adult training college for school drop-outs. Macron, a French and drama teacher until 2015, has accepted a supervisory and teaching role for a new school in a suburb of Paris and another in a rural area of southeast France. 
法国第一夫人布丽吉特•马克龙将重返讲台，到一所专门为辍学者新建的成人培训学校执教。在2015年以前，布丽吉特一直是一名法语和戏剧教师。日前她接受了两所学校的邀请担任监督和教学的职务，其中一所是位于巴黎郊区的新建学校，另一所是位于法国东南部乡下地区的学校。

On Monday, Brigitte visited the first of the schools and said the school aimed to give its students, who will be paid 1,000 euros a month, "the foundations to be able to enter the workplace". According to her Elysée aides, starting from September, she will teach young adults aged between 25 to 30 French and literature "once or twice a month".

城里树木长得快死得早

Trees in cities "live fast but die young" compared to rural forests, warns a new study. Researchers found that trees in urban areas die faster than ones in the countryside as higher levels of carbon dioxide make it harder for the plant to survive. City-dwelling trees suffer a net loss of carbon storage which means trees produce less energy from the air. 
一项新研究警告说，相比乡间树林里的树，城里的树"长得快但死得早"。研究人员发现，城区树木的寿命比乡间树木短，因为城市二氧化碳浓度更高，让树更难存活。生长在城里的树碳储量是净亏损的，这意味着树用空气转化成的能量更低。

Researchers say strategic combinations of planting and maintenance will be needed to secure urban sustainability but more needs to be done to develop understanding of urban trees and their ecosystems - which may differ from rural forests.
研究人员表示，为了保证城市可持续发展，需要把树木的种植和保护进行战略结合，但还需要增进人们对城市树木及其生态系统的了解，这一点可能有别于乡间森林。

China to host 2023 Asian Cup
2023亚洲杯将落户中国

South Korea has withdrawn its bid to host the 2023 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup, giving China a free run to stage the quadrennial competition. "The Korea Football Association (KFA) decided to drop the Asian Cup bid to strategically focus on the hosting of the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup," KFA secretary general said in a statement. 
由于韩国放弃申办2023年亚足联亚洲杯，中国获得这一赛事的主办权基本已成定局。韩国足球协会秘书长在一份声明中表示："韩国足协决定放弃申办亚洲杯，将战略重点放在主办2023年女足世界杯上。"

With Indonesia and Thailand having previously withdrawn their hosting bids, it appears likely that the 2023 Asian Cup will be held in China, the only country still in the running to stage the tournament. The host nation for the 2023 Asian Cup will officially be announced on June 4.
此前，印度尼西亚和泰国也相继退出了对2023年亚洲杯的申办，目前这一赛事的申办国只剩下中国，因此落户中国几无悬念。2023年亚洲杯主办国将于6月4日正式公布。
