猴子 玛雅

Little Maya Monkey grew big.

小猴子玛雅长大了。

Her tail grew long and strong.

她的尾巴又长又壮。

“Too long!”said Maya.

“太长了!”玛雅说。

“Come and swing with us!”

“来和我们一起荡秋千吧!”

called her friends.

她的朋友们喊道。

“No,”said Maya.

“不,”玛雅说。

“My tail is too long.”

“我的尾巴太长了。”

Maya walked to the river.

玛雅走到河边。

On the way, she saw Leopard.

在路上，她看到了豹。

What a smooth, spotty tail he had!

它的尾巴多光滑，多斑驳啊!

She saw Peacock.

她看到孔雀。

His tail was bright and beautiful.

它的尾巴又亮又漂亮。

She saw Elephant.

她看到大象。

Elephant’s tail was gray and fuzzy.

大象的尾巴是灰色的，毛茸茸的。

She saw Snake.

她看到蛇。

Snake’s tail was sleek and shiny!

蛇的尾巴又滑又亮!

She saw Crocodile.

她看到鳄鱼。

“What is your tail like?”asked Maya.

“你的尾巴什么样?”玛雅问道。

“It’s long and strong,”said Crocodile.

“它又长又壮，”鳄鱼说。

“It can give rides along the river.”

“你可以骑着它过河。”

“It can?”asked Maya.

“可以吗?”玛雅问道

“Come and try!”said Crocodile.

“过来试试!”鳄鱼说。

Maya climbed on to Crocodile’s tail.

玛雅爬上鳄鱼的尾巴。

Crocodile turned…SNAP!

鳄鱼转过头…小心！

“Oh!”cried Maya.

“天呐!”玛雅叫道。

She jumped back into the tree.

她跳回到树上。

Then, 

然后，

Maya Monkey swung all the way home.

玛雅猴子一路用尾巴摇荡着回家了。

She LOVED 

她爱

her long, strong, monkey-brown tail!

她那又长又壮、猴褐色的尾巴!
