Woody’s English Writing Workshop - Remote delivery.

Training Objective - Narrative:

At the end of the training, students will be able to:


-- Write stories with proper structure (setting, mood, beginning and ending).


-- Reveal story elements (character, nature, objects) richly with confidence (Level 1-3).   


-- Use focused Point of View to develop a smooth, integral story-line (Level 1-3).


-- Construct a story that would make sense and be logical, in either realistic living experience or a fantastic development under certain presumptions.


-- Deliver a story with sufficient surprise, conflict, climax, resolution in the plot to improve readability (Level 1-3).


-- Complete a story with minimum spelling, punctuation, grammar mistakes.

Training Method - Remote: WeChat calls (video or voice); Skype, Ximalaya live audio

Fee: A$ 50, or ¥250 per 1.5 hour.

Frequency: Once a week, or maximum twice a week, intervened with non-chargeable interactions during the week.

Total Sessions: variable case by case

Training Method/Materials


-- Audible stories (one story per week, listening 14+ times - listen 2+times a day; then read aloud and copy down to paper with good spelling, handwriting and punctuation; then retell the story, with questioning inputs from parents and Woody Ho).


-- Reflective thinking training - (descriptions - observation, obvious properties, pretending/imagining/comparing, questioning, remembering, expressing emotions, and forming opinion).


-- Focused Point of View (start with I, ‘see’ with five senses of I).


Designing a plot (what, who, why, when, where, how)  - what makes it interesting for your readers to read?

在培训结束,学生将能够:

-- 用适当的结构(设置,情绪,开始和结束)写故事。

-- 生动展示故事元素(人物,自然,物体)(等级1-3)。

-- 聚焦写作视点,围绕主题,情节完整,合乎逻辑(1-3级)。

-- 在剧情中提供足够惊喜,冲突,高潮,分辨率的故事以提高可读性(1-3级)。

培训方法 - 远程:微信呼叫(视频或语音); Skype,喜马拉雅直播音频

费用:50澳币,或每1.5小时250元。

频次:每周一次,或每周最多两次,平时互动不另收费。

总次数:根据具体情况而定

培训方法/材料

-- 写作声音训练(每周一个故事,听取14次以上 - 每天听2次以上;然后大声朗读并抄写,然后复述故事,与老师讨论) 。

-- 反思性思维训练 - (描述 - 观察,属性描述,想象/比较,提问,记忆,情感表达和观点)。

-- 聚焦写作视点训练。

-- 想象力训练,情节设计(什么,谁,为什么,何时,何地,如何) - 是什么让读者产生兴趣阅读?
