Today you are going to learn something different than past lessons. I’m going to teach you about homophones. A homophone is a word that sounds like another word, but, has different meaning. Often, they are also spelled differently.

The girl wanted to bare her soul after her boyfriend left her.
There was big bear in the mountains where we were hiking.
Can you bear the burden of so much homework?
The base of the company was in London.
The girl played bass for the band.
I have been busy lately.
The trash bin was full and needed to be emptied.
