考题回忆:

It is expected that there will be ahigher proportion of older people than young people in many countries in thefuture. Do you think it is a positive or negative development?

ahigher proportion of older people than young people老龄化的产生,题目重点

apositive or negative development要注意用发展的眼光看问题,突出推理过程的动态性。

提纲:

本范文按思路中的第一种进行写作,以便于大多数考生进行参考

MODEL

I wouldcertainly believe that the ageing trend would be negatively linked with thedevelopment of the overwhelming countries in both financial and resourcerespects.

Financialproblems may be the top concern of the entire society facing the proliferationof the greying populations. Directly, there is no doubt that government wouldexperience a hard period with economic burdens when allocating more monetaryflows on the pensions of the old generation. Wealth of a particular socialsystem mainly comes from the contributions of adults, and it is also the sourceof almost every actions of the macro manipulations-medical cares, subsidies, poverty alleviations, investments on transports and other infrastructures-bymeans of the governmental taxes or social security schemes. Once the populationof the senior sectors increases accompanied by lower fertilities, as well as asmaller share of younger age groups, financial outputs may be largely pouredinto the ageing-related social security system, which would directly reflect inthe higher burden of those young generations, since they have to work harder onmaking this economic balance. Furthermore, ageing problems also give rise to aless powerful production to the whole society notwithstanding the policy ofdelaying the retirement in some nations, since the seniors may overwhelminglybe lack of the same degree of energy and learning abilities as the prime oflife to catch up with the speedy paces of the social advancement. This wouldsomewhat lead to a shrinked economy of a certain society.

Resources are also a serious problem beingimpacted by the elderly growth. On the one hand, they may dominate certaininfrastructures or basic assets which are supposed to be balanced to all agegroups. Medical cares would definitely lean to those physical weaklingsresulted from their ageing, since they are more likely to be stuck inage-related diseases. Therefore, a scenario of a long waiting line queuing inthe lobby of the hospital, in which the majority is the seniors, will be hardlystrange in any city. This would provoke a lopsided life in the curative area, because more physicians are needed for the clinical majors regarding to theageing issues, or even may become the obstacle of other medical disciplines.Whilst the surroundings may be forced into a different adoption, beingconstrained by the elderly. It is hardly far-fetched that when facilities, equipments or devices of the entire society are oriented to a “senior-friendly”direction, along which modern technologies are highly precluded, fashion looksare not favored, and exciting elements are totally prohibited since they maynot be adaptable or or tolerable by the ageings, the condition of the societywould develop a strange pattern.

In conclusion, adverse effects emergeparticularly on economy and social advance if larger proportion of elderly isoverwhelming the younger populations.
