Morning, everyone. This is Perry. Have youguys heard the name CES? Yep, it stands for International Consumer ElectronicsShow! AudioScript:

Welcome to the future! It’s pretty weird. At least this year, at CES 2019, in Las Vegas. I come to the Tech-industry’sbiggest trade show every year to check out what’s new. There’s eternal optimismthat technology can solve, well, almost any problem, even problems you neverknow you have.

What happens if you put technology intoeverything? You might remember the talking toilet from last year. Could techtop that this year? Let’s explore the hall of CES to find out.

Boy, sure it would be easier to get aroundif I didn’t have to drag all this stuff. Oh, tech has answer to that! Meet theOvis, the self-driving suitcase! That’s right. That 800 dollar suitcase followsalong behind you, like a puppy. Believe it or not, it actually worked! I wouldsay about 75% of the time.

It’s a little fussy!

A little!

A little bit fussy, OK!

How does that work? A company calledForward X figured out how to use cameras all over the suitcase to help itidentify you as opposed to someone else at the airport and then lock on andfollow you at up to 6 miles per hour, avoiding obstacles along the way. It’sactually quite a technique!

So you are saying the world’s most advancedtechnology and research in artificial intelligence has given us a suitcase thatcan follow us along? Yeap.

But suitcase is the only thing rolling onit’s own at CES. What is this? This is a fully automated dog toilet.

Yeah. For a thousand bucks, Larcy can getthis version of a cat’s litter box. Sensors know when the pooch climbs on anddoes its business. And then it closes this door and washes it all away. All thebusiness gets wiped into this handy sealed baggie. Wait, why do dogs need toilets? There’s a toilet for you, why not for your dog? Are dogs jealous of cats?

They might be, yes.

They are using the technology to get a legup, so to speak?

Yeah.

Like a leg up.
