今天学习的句子是英语中著名的 there 引导的句子。常用结构是 There be , 当展开各种变化时，例子如下
There is a table. 那有一张桌子。
There are tables. 那有许多桌子。
There was a desk. 那曾有一张书桌。
There were desks. 那曾有许多书桌。
通常 Be 动词的变化取决于离它最近的名语，例如
There are five chairs and a table.
There is a table and five chairs.

this is the "there be" sentence in english grammar. 
usually we translate it into Chinese "有“， however， Chinese students always confuse this with the word “have", which also be translated into Chinese "有".
the other problem in the usage of "there be" structure is the subject -verb agreement. 
ususally, the Be follows the noun which close to it. For exmple, 
There are five chairs and a table. five chairs are closer than a table to the Be verb, so we use "are“
there is a table and five chairs. a table is closer than five chairs to the Be verb, so we use "is".
