Little River-Woods Circus 17-19

Soon they traveled through the Little River-Woods and recruited many animals willing to join the circus. By the end of the month, they decided to return to Xiu’s home at the night before next month. Surprisingly, Xiu's mum had already expected them to be back, and she had prepared many sweet and delicious blueberry pies. They were so happy as everyone was already hungry, each of them took a slice except Little White. Noticing the little bear was a bit hesitated, fox mum came to Little White with the pie saying to her with a smile: "You must be Little White, aren't you? How cute and lovely just as Xiu said! Come here, try some blueberry pie slices when they are still warm!" The little bear was persuaded and took a bite, found it to be very tasty so she ate the slice quickly, even licked her claws. They all enjoyed the supper a lot.

The Old Monkey King gathered every member of the circus to have their first meeting after dinner as all of them were already here. Naughtie the little monkey climbed up at the top of tree hole and started his welcome: “We are really glad to see you guys here in our Little River-Woods Circus! With all of us working together, helping each other, we will definitely make a perfect show to all the citizens in our lovely woods!” Then they started some ice-break activities and introduced themselves to make others get to know them better. As it was already early winter times, they decided to perform their very first show to celebrate the next Spring Festival. The Old Monkey King also sent some clever monkeys to inform the animals living in the woods about this great news. The first meeting ended with joy as they truly believed they could make a wonderful circus and bring happiness to all the villagers.

Next day they prepared immediately for the interesting performance, very intensive but equally entertaining. Each day they could enjoy the delicious meal that fox mum cooked for them, and most of them lived in the tent inside the circus. They worked really hard and got much better during the exercise. They even gave Naughtie some good advice and helped to improve the show designing. As time quickly passed by, soon there was only one week left before the show was about to begin. The monkeys came back from every corner of the Little River-Woods bringing the good news mostly, nearly all the animals were very looking forward to seeing the circus show. But a few of them could not attend as they would have to sleep for the whole winter season, such as the snake in the middle of the mountain, and the tree frog who lived near the river. Based on the feedback there were already one hundred and more animals who would come for the performance for sure. All the members of the circus including Xiu and TG were feeling a bit nervous, but also very exciting as they would very much like to bring all that they had prepared to make a wonderful show.
