how to give and receive compliments

Good evening! Today is Saturday, How is your week so far? My week has been really wonderful, since I got to spend a lot of time with my parents, taking them around town. It is very fun and precious. My mom is trying to practice English with Gary and everybody she meets, even the little boys who came to open house yesterday. I think that is a great effort she makes to learn English and I hope everybody can do the same thing, just open your mouth and try. Right or wrong, it doesn’t matter. You are always making some progress. 

Our recent lessons  are about meeting and greeting people. I hope you find them helpful when you are meeting new friends or seeing old friends. In America, it is very common to give compliments when you first see someone, either a stranger or a friend, to warm up the conversation. I wasn’t used to it and didn’t know how to respond. Today I put together some words and phrases for you, so next time when you receive a compliment , you know what to say and how to reply
