Speaking of a festival in China, I would like to talk about QiXi which is pretty much the Chinese Valentines day.  

QiXi , like its counterparts in western world , has a long history , which dates back to hundreds of year, if my memory serves me right, my mother used to tell me the story that NiuLang ZhiNv who were a loving couple were separated by the galaxy, they could only see each other on the bridges made by sparrows once every year, therefore, people commemorate the loving story by the festival of QiXi. 

when it usually take place ah ... tha date is 7th of July on lunar calender. 

who celebrate it ... well ,  since it's a day about love, of course , it's for loving couples, according to the tradition , the coupls would hang out and enjoy the beauty of the night, you know, mostly the night would be rather mild for couples to take walk outside. For example last year, my girl friend and I took walk along the river then we had a great dinner at fancy restaurant. 

any way , my feelings about the festival, I think it's great, coz , these days youngsters like me are quite busy, a full day for me with my girl friend can be rather precious.
