5. 如何优雅的拒绝加班

Katy: Xiao Xiao, would you mind staying late to get the bid out for HP tonight?

小小，你今晚留下来把惠普的投标做完好吗？

Xiao Xiao: May I ask when it’s due? 具体什么时候截止呢？

Katy:  It’s due tomorrow. 明天。

小小Tip：

面对一个加班要求，我们首先要搞清楚情况的轻重缓急。知道了Due date再去判断可不可以拒绝或是如何拒绝才不会显得考虑不周或是缺乏团队精神。所以不妨把When is it due？用起来。

Xiao Xiao: Don’t worry. I can get it done first thing in the morning.

别担心。我明天早上第一件事就是把它做完。

小小Tip：

这里的工作是第二天才截止，所以其实不是必须当晚完成的。但我们也不能忽略Katy的感受，她明显是比较着急才说要今晚完成的。我们可以跟老板一起紧张起来，所以安慰说don’t worry，再追加一个解决方案get it done first thing in the morning，强调first thing。

Katy: I would feel better if the email goes out tonight!

可是今晚发出去的话我会更安心一些！

Xiao Xiao: I understand. I’m sending out an email right now to move my morning meeting to a different time. This way I can focus on getting it done as soon as possible. I will come tell you when I’m done and we can get it out by noon!

我了解。我现在就发个电子邮件把我明早的会改刀别的时间。这样我就可以专注于尽快把它做完。搞定以后我会过来找你，然后我们中午之前就可以发出去了！

小小Tip：

这时候Katy还是很紧张呀。这么担心今晚怎么能睡的着觉呢？我们可以给老板一个定心丸，也是安眠药，所以说 I understand，为了让Katy安心，我们把早上要开的会都挪到别的时间，这样早上就可以专注完成这个老板觉得很重要的工作。而且又保证说一做完就当面告诉她。这样就滴水不漏了。

Katy: Ok. I’m counting on you! 那好吧。我可全靠你了！

Xiao Xiao: Absolutely! Have a good night! 没问题！晚安~

Katy: You too~ 你也是~

小小Tip：

count on someone是依靠sei的意思。Count on me是交给我吧！Count on you是全靠你啦！
